"Allyson came home yesterday the happiest I've ever seen her! She had the greatest time at camp and is ready for 4 weeks next summer! Loved every minute and shared so many wonderful stories about new friends, counselors, everything! Of course (as I predicted), her absolute favorite part was Shabbat, singing and dancing! She tried new activities, new foods (by the way she told us the food is delicious!) and really enjoyed the whole experience! David & I couldn't be happier!"

"My son, Jacob, returned yesterday from the 1A session, and he had a wonderful time, and couldn’t stop talking about his fantastic 2 weeks at camp. (Needless to say, he's already talking about going back next summer.) Capital Camps exceeded our expectations, and the professionalism shown to our family and son attending camp was first-rate."

"My daughter Emma returned home yesterday after 2 weeks in Bet Shemesh. What a great time she had! My normally reserved girl was bursting with news about camp. She loved her counselors, her cabin, her hobbies, Shabbat, and well, just about everything. She has already determined the number of days until she can return!"

"Between 3 children, we have a total of 15 sessions at camp. We were so nervous about sending our "baby" who is not always so easy to please, however he has blossomed wonderfully at camp. When asked how camp is on a scale of 1 to 10 he tells us it is a 20. I can't tell you how good it is to see him so happy and content, something we have not always seen. Thank you all very much!"

"I have had so much vicarious fun at camp this year on the website. Had a few brief notes from Vivian, always apologizing for having to rush off somewhere. That's fine by me. The first sentence is always: "I'm having soooo much fun!!" So thanks to you and all your staff for enriching Vivian's life. She's made some wonderful friends, and she starting looking forward to this summer's session from the moment she got home last summer. I have no doubt it will be the same this year."

"Thank you so very much for the wonderful camp experience that you provided for Alexandra and the other children at "CCRC" (I understand this to be the hip nomenclature for Capital Camps). My girl looks wonderful, happy, and content and I did my 50 laps with her yesterday in the JCC outdoor pool and without asking she followed me along for all of these laps! That is the most that I have ever seen her do!"

And from the campers….
“I tell all my friends that Capital Camps is like my second home. At camp, everyone is your friend and there isn’t all the drama like at school. I feel right at home the minute the busses pull in because the counselors are so fun. Also, I tried lots of new things at camp that I don’t get to do at home like lacrosse, the camp play and canoeing.”

“I can’t imagine going to any other camp. This is my fourth year and I want to keep coming back until I’m a counselor. At camp, you can be anybody you want. Also, I like going to a Jewish camp because I never feel different from the other kids. I’ve learned a lot at Capital Camps but it never feels like learning.”
Zach, Reich Village, age 11
I’ve grown up at Capital Camps and made great lifelong friends that don’t go to my school. I’m surprised by how much I’ve learned at camp and how it helps me during the year. It has also helped me figure out what being Jewish means to me. I feel like Capital Camps will be part of me always.
