Directions from Washington D.C.

1. Take Interstate 270 North towards Frederick, Maryland.
2. At Frederick join Route 15 North (the left lanes of 270 become 15 North)
3. Travel approximately 25.5 miles and exit at Route 140 West towards Emmitsburg/Taneytown
   (you depart the highway on a short access road and then turn left at the stop sign).
4. Travel 11.3 miles on Route 140 West (Maryland) which becomes Route 16 (Pennsylvania)
5. You will cross a railroad track and on your right hand side will be an M&T Bank
6. Travel 2.4 miles from the M&T Bank on Route 16 and the entrance for Capital Camps & Retreat Center will be on your left-hand side (there is a left turn lane on the highway and the entrance is on a sweeping left turn portion of the highway).
7. Follow the road down to the welcome center – park and enter the Welcome Center building and check in with our security staff (please have a photo ID available).

From Baltimore

1. Take I-795 towards Route 140 Maryland (towards Emmitsburg/Taneytown)

2. Merge onto US-15 S via exit 236 toward Gettysburg
3. Take US-15S for 40 miles
4. Turn right onto N Seton Ave.
5. Take N Seton Ave for 1 mile
6. Turn right onto MD-140/W Main St.
