Activities and Programs
| Capital Camps emphasizes quality program enjoyed by campers entering grades 3 through 12, as well as individual choice and challenge as you progress through our villages. Children participate in activities overseen by qualified specialists in many different areas including sports, theater arts, fine arts, aquatics, ropes adventure course and environmentalism/nature. |

Since our schedule is a mixture of group/cabin activities and personal choice, campers are able to select activities in which they have an interest or curiosity. Certain activities are offered as ‘intensives’. This provides children with an opportunity to immerse themselves in an interest area for a concentrated period of time.
Each day consists of six activity periods that are designed to provide campers with a stimulating mix of challenge, risk and learning. Campers have more options to individualize their program as they progress over the years, with the goal being to gain greater understanding and exposure to more complex activities.
While we offer many varied activities each year (click here for a full list), we have developed a reputation for consistent excellence in five key program areas.
- Sports - soccer, tennis and basketball
- Ceramics
- Drama
- Swim
- Adventure – ropes/outdoor adventure
